The weather looks set to be calm later this week and so we have arranged two additional sailings from Lyme Bay for this Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th August. There are still a few places available and bookings will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Please follow the link for booking details.

MARINElife have joined forces with Naturetrek to offer guided pelagic trips into Lyme Bay and off Portland in Dorset to look for whales, dolphins and seabirds.
Research work by MARINElife over the last 5 years has demonstrated the usage of the areas for many species of marine wildlife including White-Beaked Dolphin, Bottlenose Dolphin, Common Dolphin, Harbour Porpoise and Balearic Shearwaters to name a few with other species also sighted on occasion.
Experienced MARINElife researchers will be guiding for Naturetrek wildlife trips in 2012 and these will be arranged at short notice as and when a weather window permits. Anyone interested in being part of a trip should register with David Shute at Naturetrek on 01962 733051.
The five trips run in July encountered one of more of the following:
White-Beaked Dolphin
Common Dolphin
Minke Whale
Harbour Porpoise
Balearic Shearwaters
Ocean Sun Fish
Puffins
Skuas
