A great film of the torch running through Bridport, made by Edward Lawrence, who ran alongside it during filming.

Darren Batten from Palmers Brewery and some of the locals of The Three Horseshoes Inn cheered the flame on as it made its way to Weymouth and Portland.

After 54 days of travelling around the country, the Olympic Torch Relay finally touched down in West Dorset today. But it did not bring the sunshine with it, as it did during the first week on its travels back in May.

This was the scene at the start of the route in Bridport, photographed by Jen Burden.
