Now, on Saturday 21st July you have the unique opportunity to see The Genius of Hitchcock, his classic film ‘The Lodger’, restored to its former glory in an original 1920’s cinema. A brand new score for the film has been composed and will be performed live, via satellite, by the London Symphony Orchestra and Nitin Sawhney Band.
A serial killer is terrorising fog-shrouded London, and a mysterious lodger arrives at the home of Mr and Mrs Bunting. When the lodger begins behaving strangely, he attracts suspicion. ’The Lodger’ is asuspense thriller shot against a back-drop of a fog-shrouded London and featuring matinee idol of the day, Ivor Novello in the title role.
On Saturday 21st July there is a live screening of The Lodger that includes a pre-show reel of mini-documentaries. It is followed by a Question and Answer session. The bar opens at 7pm and the screening starts at 7.30pm.
